What is Home Care ?

Most people live independently within their own homes. For those who are frail or have long term care needs, this can be difficult without the help and support of family, friends or services. Help with personal care and other practical household tasks is sometimes called domiciliary care or home care.

Willowbrook support clients with a wide spectrum of care needs including dementia care, physical disabilities, mental ill health, learning disabilities and those experienced by older people to remain safe and secure by offering help and assistance with daily living including personal care and general household tasks such as shopping, laundry and making meals. Our care teams work with the client, their families and Adult Social Care Teams. We can help to make sure that the right care plan is in place to meet your individual needs and wishes.

Willowbrook's prime objective is to provide a service that recognises the intrinsic values of people, regardless of their circumstances, by respecting their uniqueness and personal needs.

Our service is provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year. A 24 hour on call service is available for clients and carers in the event of emergencies. Our range of services is as follows but not limited to:

  • Bathing
  • Dressing
  • Getting Up
  • Going To Bed
  • Assistance With Medication
  • Cooking

  • Laundry
  • Support With Social Activities

Overnight Care

We are able to deliver our home care services with reassurance and support to clients who have difficulty in sleeping through the night or for those who have care needs during night time hours. This can be particularly valuable for family carers who need unbroken sleep to manage their caring role during the day.

Respite Care

Where a family member or a friend provides day to day care for someone, they may be entitled to a respite break which would usually involve the cared for person taking a temporary place in a care home or nursing home. In some cases the respite care service may be delivered with domiciliary or home care. This means that the cared for person would benefit by being able to remain in their own home in familiar surroundings. Willowbrook will work with you to arrange respite breaks that benefit all concerned.
