With great personal sadness, I share with you all the passing of Barbara Borrowdale (Babs), our dearly respected colleague and good friend, who peacefully passed away at home whilst sleeping in the early hours of this morning with her family.
Barbara joined the Willowbrook Homecare Team in 2001, progressing in her career to Operations Manager before moving to France in 2006 with her husband Chris. Barbara returned to Willowbrook at the beginning of 2014 and went on to become our Senior Finance Administrator – Barbara was exceptionally thorough in everything she did. One of her work mantras was if you put the hard work in beforehand, the rest is a breeze!
Finance Manager Lindsey Dean said, “Babs was a great role model and mentor, not only to myself but to everyone at Willowbrook Homecare. She was my friend, someone I could rely on day in and day out.”
“She was unconditionally kind to many throughout the years and well respected by her work colleagues and everyone she encountered – Babs was a beautiful and kind soul and will be sorely missed by all who worked with her. ”
On a personal note, I’d like to say that I will miss my friend dearly, more than words can express. Barbara was such an essential and treasured part of our company – her bright presence will be truly missed in our Oswaldtwistle Office – God bless you, Babs.
On behalf of the Willowbrook Homecare Team and myself, our thoughts, prayers, and deepest condolences go out to her husband Chris, and her family and friends at this sad time.
We will share Barbara’s funeral arrangements as soon as they are available.
Kindest regards
