At Willowbrook Homecare, we take immense pride in recognising the incredible individuals who shape our services and make a meaningful difference every day.
This week, we celebrated a significant milestone, 10 years of exceptional service from Vicky Yates. Vicky has played a vital role in developing our Extra Care services and has been a constant source of support for the people we care for and our growing team.
Vicky’s journey with Willowbrook began as a Senior Carer on April 20, 2015, when we were awarded the Extra Care contract for Greenbrook House in Whitworth. From the very beginning, her compassion, dedication, and focus on people were evident. Her commitment to providing person-centred care quickly made her a favourite among the residents. With her creativity and strong leadership skills, she played a key role in transforming Greenbrook House into a vibrant and thriving community.
Elaine Brady, Managing Director, shared: “Working closely with Vicky, I quickly realised just how caring and compassionate she is. The residents at Greenbrook House truly adored her. Together, we reshaped the way Extra Care was delivered, introducing a diverse range of engaging activities that brought the community to life. As a result, the program even developed a remarkably healthy waiting list!”
Vicky’s passion and determination have been instrumental in supporting Willowbrook’s growth, helping expand our Extra Care provision from one scheme to four, with two more set to open in the coming months. Her commitment to continuous improvement has also gained recognition at the Great British Care Awards, where she won the North West Registered Manager Award and became a national finalist.
Today, Vicky serves as both the Registered Manager and the Nominated Individual, and she is a deeply respected member of the senior management team. She leads with kindness, integrity, and humility, remaining a strong advocate for delivering high-quality, person-led care.
Elaine added: “I have nothing but admiration for Vicky and all she has achieved. She’s an asset to Willowbrook, and with her and the wider team, I’m confident we will continue to achieve great things.”
To celebrate this remarkable milestone, Vicky was presented with flowers and a gift as a heartfelt thank you from all of us at Willowbrook. Her loyalty, vision, and compassion over the past decade have helped shape the very heart of our service.
