Heather- Hare Hill Extra Care
I just wanted to take a moment to say a big thank you to Heather from Willowbrook Homecare for the lovely care and kindness she’s shown my dad.
Heather recently helped get all of Dad’s ironing done, which was a great achievement in itself. But what really stood out was how she made the whole thing enjoyable for him. Dad is a 96-year-old man who is immobile, and Heather took the time and patience to involve him rather than just do everything for him.
She called it “teamwork”, and that one word made such a difference. It gave Dad a sense of involvement, purpose, and happiness. Seeing him so pleased and included meant a lot to us as a family.
Heather showed so much kindness, patience, and compassion, and really went above and beyond what was expected. It’s not just the tasks she completed, but the way she treated Dad with dignity, respect, and genuine warmth that really stands out.
I’d like the company to know how much we appreciate Heather’s care and thoughtfulness. Staff like Heather really make a difference to someone’s day, and, in Dad’s case, she made a very happy 96-year-old man feel useful and valued.
Thank you, Heather, for your wonderful care and for making “teamwork” such a positive and happy experience for Dad. You’re a real credit to Willowbrook Homecare.

Blackburn with Darwen Homecare Team
With heartfelt thanks, gratitude, and appreciation to our wonderful Blackburn with Darwen Care Team.
On Friday, we received news that one of the lovely ladies we supported and cared for was coming home from the hospital for end-of-life care. She was truly clear in her wish to return to her own home, surrounded by the comfort, familiarity, and dignity, while receiving care from the team she knew at Willowbrook Homecare.
An urgent message was sent to our Blackburn with Darwen team requesting help with a sudden increase in visits and support on extremely short notice. The response was nothing short of remarkable. Our carers stepped forward immediately, offering extra time, rearranging their plans, and even volunteering to work on their days off. Every single person shared the same compassionate commitment to do whatever was needed to provide her with the peaceful and personal end-of-life care she desired.
Sadly, she passed away just over 24 hours later. However, thanks to the kindness, dedication, and teamwork shown by our carers, she was able to spend that time where she truly wished to be, in her own home, in her own bed, with dignity and comfort.
We are incredibly proud of every member of our care team. The compassion you demonstrate, the respect you show, and the difference you make in the lives of the individuals we support and care for do not go unnoticed.
Thank you for your exceptional care during one of the most important times in her life. She will be deeply missed by all of us, and we will cherish her memory with great warmth.

Justyna & Jubilee Gardens Extra Care Team
We were incredibly touched to receive this wonderful feedback from the family of one of the individuals we support at Jubilee Gardens, Leyland.
Justyna, a member of our Extra Care Team, was supporting a lady when a sudden medical emergency occurred. Justyna remained calm and reassuring throughout, ensuring she was safe until further help arrived. Justyna contacted the family immediately, and stayed well beyond the end of her shift to make sure everything was properly handed over and that the right care and support were in place.
The family expressed their gratitude for the care, compassion, and kindness displayed by Justyna, Mel, Nat, Marie, and Supervisor Emma throughout. They explained that the amazing support provided by these individuals brings them real peace of mind and reassurance.

After a joyful family celebration, we returned to Primrose Gardens with our mum a bit later than planned. To our delight, we found Vera and Grace already there, waiting with warmth and compassion. They were ready to assist us with Mum's evening routine.
They swiftly and carefully swung into action and cared for Mum in such a lovely way. We thanked them at the time, but we wanted to express again how much we appreciated their patience and skill. This is so typical of so many of the care team at Primrose Gardens - they are great!
