As the colder weather sets in across Lytham, one of the lovely ladies we support and care for has been enjoying a heart-warming pastime right from the comfort of her own home, bird watching in her garden!
Thanks to a birds-eye view from her kitchen window and her thoughtful bird feeder, she’s been delighted to spot and photograph some beautiful visitors, including a cheerful robin making the most of the winter feast.
Seeing nature up close can be a simple yet powerful source of comfort and connection, especially during the winter months. We’re happy to share these lovely photos sent to us by Mary Noone, our Registered Manager in Lytham, that capture these special moments of joy and calm.

Get Involved: RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch 2026
If this inspires you, why not take part in the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch? Running from 23–25 January, it’s the world’s largest garden wildlife survey and a wonderful way to bring friends, family or neighbours together, or simply enjoy some peaceful time outdoors or from your window.
Every year, hundreds of thousands of nature lovers participate, helping to build a national picture of how garden birds are faring across the UK. Whether you spot robins, woodpeckers, tits, or sparrows, every sighting counts! Find out more and register at the RSPB’s website:
At Willowbrook Homecare, we’re all about supporting meaningful experiences that enhance wellbeing, and nature has a wonderfully gentle way of doing just that.
