At Willowbrook Homecare, we believe that creating a supportive and understanding workplace benefits everyone.
As part of our ongoing commitment to employee wellbeing, we were delighted to welcome Alison Allen, Menopause Educator and Coach, who delivered her insightful ‘Menopause for Managers’ session to Lindsey Dean (Finance Manager) and Anne (Care Plan Lead and Trainer).
This learning session encouraged open conversations while increasing awareness and understanding about menopause, a crucial stage of life that affects many of our colleagues and the people we support and care for. Together, we explored how small, thoughtful changes can make a meaningful difference to wellbeing, retention, and engagement across our workforce.
Alison shared practical tools and ideas to help managers feel confident in offering support, breaking down stigma, and fostering a culture where everyone feels valued and understood.
At Willowbrook Homecare, our values of care, respect, kindness, and compassion guide everything we do. Providing our employees with the knowledge and confidence to support one another through every stage of life reflects our commitment to these values and to being an employer of choice within our community.
Willowbrook would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Alison for leading such an inspiring and informative session, and to Lindsey and Anne for their openness and valuable participation.
